Gold Hill Sports Park
The Gold Hill Sports Park includes a boat launch,
covered picnic area, ADA bathrooms, basketball court,
tennis court, disc golf course, and over 3 miles of
paved walking/biking paths meandering along the park
and the world famous wild and scenic Rogue River.
Gold Hill Family Beach Park
Located off of Second Avenue (old Highway 99) adjacent
to the bridge and railroad trestle.
Gold Nugget County Recreation Area
As you travel the 172 mile-long Rogue-Umpqua Scenic
Byway, stop for a picnic at one of the three Gold
Nugget Waysides to learn about the history of the
area. A short foot trail along the Rogue River connects
the lower and middle waysides. Interpretive displays
at the middle site provide information about the gold
panning history of the area, geology, the native Takelma,
and the scenic byway. Overnight camping is not allowed
in the waysides or surrounding area: the nearest campground
is located in Gold Hill.
